Major Washroom Renovation
THE CHALLENGE
Home Depot Canada needed to modernize its washrooms to meet updated building codes, accessibility standards, and corporate specifications — all without interrupting daily store operations.
At the Hamilton Mountain location, the project required a complete demolition down to the studs and a full rebuild within a strict 19-day window. To maintain service for customers and associates, The Reset Team coordinated VIP portable washroom trailers, serviced daily throughout the project.
THE APPROACH
The Reset Team delivered the renovation through disciplined planning, night-time demolition, and precision installation — ensuring every stage aligned with THD’s Scope of Work and compliance requirements.
Highlights included:
-
- Planning & Preparation: 12-week pre-planning to secure materials and stage all fixtures before construction began.
- Demolition & Build: Night work to remove old finishes, followed by new drywall, tile, and fixture installation.
- Premium Finishes: Enigma Anatolia 12×24 wall tile and offset floor tile with epoxy grout and Schluter Jolly edging.
- Automated Systems: Hard-wired Delta auto-flush valves, auto faucets, Dyson® hand dryers, and LED lighting.
- Quality Assurance: Dual plumbing inspections, verified electrical testing, and rapid closeout of deficiencies.
